Bear Brewing

Role: Designer

Scope: Label Design, Art Direction.

A Brewing company with a mission is to grow the popularity of quality hand-crafted beer, and to help establish New Mexico as a national destination for outstanding craft beer.

They strive for excellence through award-winning innovation, producing outstanding recipes using traditional brewing practices and top notch ingredients.
From seasonal brown ale to grand West Coast-style double IPAs, I crafted beer label designs that effectively encapsulated the essence of each beer and conveyed its distinctive characteristics to consumers.

Art DirectionThis beer is a total knockout, with a firm bitterness and an in-your-face hop aroma. I used the brand’s base as inspiration for the beer labels’ identity. I kept the colors easy and simple, but I added a central pop of intensity to make the can stand out from others on the shelf.

Coyote Brown Ale

Design
My design approach was inspired by the rustic and inviting imagery of a coyote’s habitat. I wanted to create a warm and comforting atmosphere while also capturing the adventurous spirit of the animal. The color palette featured earthy and natural shades to evoke a warm and inviting feel But placing the New Mexico Zia a a coyotes focal point.

BearFest

DesignI aimed to keep the brand’s identity and recognizable color scheme while giving it a fresh look minimal look, Bearfest’s essence: community, local craftsmanship, and the joy of sharing a well-crafted lager.
