Playdates is on a mission to Connect the lives of dog owners and their furry companions through comunity building. The Playdates app allows users to create playdates with friends around their community, fostering social connections and promoting healthy, active lifestyles for dogs. As a solo designer, I collaborated with the startup’s owner to create a mockup app to present to investors and develop logo guidelines for
the brand.
Logomark
I designed a unique typeface that’s playful and easy to read. The color palette resembles the grass fields that our furry friends love to play in.
Logomark DesignI created a simple dog shape through a few sketches to make it easily recognizable. This design pays homage to the shape of the “P” within the app’s name.
Urbanist is an excellent typeface to use within an app platform. It’s easy to read and offers a lot of flexibility with its different weights. Considering the app structure, I needed a typeface that was easy to read at first glance, and Urbanist perfectly suited this requirement.
