Joga Magazine

Role: Graphic Design

Scope: Art Direction,  Concept Design
JOGA is a football magazine dedicated to capturing the emotion, artistry, and cultural depth of the world’s game. Inspired by Pelé’s joga bonito philosophy, it brings the rhythm of the streets, the drama of the stadium, and the joy of the fans into print. Blending bold visuals, storytelling, and design to remind readers why football is called the beautiful game.I shaped the visual identity of JOGA — from layout systems and typography to expressive spreads that balance raw energy with refined storytelling. My work focused on translating football’s movement and passion into print, using bold composition, image treatment, and design experimentation to give each page the same vibrancy and unpredictability as the game itself.

All my life I have been passionate about soccer, not just the game itself but the incredible storylines it creates. From legendary players moving clubs, to rivalries that define generations, to the way the sport unites people across cultures, soccer has always been more than a game to me. It is an art form.

That is the spirit behind Joga Magazine. For the very first issue I wanted to go back to the roots, celebrating the origins of the beautiful game through the lens of Brazilian greats who shaped its artistry and flair.

I have been working on some early samples and could not be more excited to share them soon. This is just the beginning of telling soccer’s story in a way that honors both its history and its future.
